Woohoo! I'm still alive! Anyway, here I am with yet another fun-filled, action-packed, and star-studded journal entry thingy for the world to enjoy! Let's get this shit started.
Of course, everyone is probably already fully aware that Pope John Paul II passed away yesterday. It was pretty much expected to happen over the next few days due to his declining health, but still came as a shock to many. Anyway, I'm not a Catholic, but I still respect what he stood for and all that he did during his reign as the Pope. He travelled more than any other Pope in history. It's a definite shame that he's no longer a part of this world.
Baseball's regular season kicks off tonight with the heated rivalry between the Red Sox and the Yankees. The majority of the rest of the teams kick off their seasons tomorrow. The Indians open up with a series against the White Sox. The Pirates plays the Brewers. I can't say that I have big hopes for the Pirates this year, but I'm still looking forward to the season to get underway.
The weather here in Ohio is back to its old, crazy self. Four days ago, it was sunny and in the lower 70's. Yesterday, it was in the lower 30's and snowed all day. Now, the temps are nearing 50 again and the wind is strong enough to blow a hole in your head. It's not gonna get any better either. Highs are supposed to get near 70 again by the middle of the week, then drop right back down by the end of the week. Ugh, Ohio weather sucks! Spring is here though and the majority of the snow and cold is behind us. Bring on the warmth!
Kera will be here either Tuesday or Wednesday. She's been stuck down in Alabama, because her bro's going through another treatment and her mommy refuses to give her a ride to the airport until he's out of there, which WILL be here in the next couple days. Our six-month anniversary is coming up really soon and she will be here to celebrate it with me!
There's exactly one month until Nine Inch Nails' new CD, 'With Teeth,' hits stores! You can pre-order it on pretty much any music site now, including Amazon. Like I said in my last entry, I've heard the entire album now. It's absolutely mesmorizing. Buy it!!! NIN will also be releasing a single for 'The Hand That Feeds.' That comes out on April 18th. It's only available in Europe/UK, so you'll have to order it as an import if you want it. I'm guessing that they will be announcing their fall US tour days within the next month or so, too. Yay!
I don't exactly remember what all I've written about over the last week or so. I'm too lazy to go back and read my old entries, too. But, anyway, I recently bought a DVD burner for my computer. It was only $47, too! If you ever need computer upgrades, go to newegg.com. They've got the deals there.! Anyway, I got that and a 50-pack of DVD+Rs. I've already copied three complete movies and it works wonderfully! My computer is now pretty up-to-date finally. It took some time and money, but it was well worth it.
As you can see, I updated the calendar on the side of this page. Dry Kill Logic will be playing at the Agora this upcoming Friday. Tickets for that show are still on sale. Mindless Self Indulgence will be at House of Blues, in support of their upcoming new album, on Saturday, April 16th. That's a late show, as it starts at 10:30 pm. Chimaira will be down at Newport, in Columbus, on the 20th. God Forbid hits up the Agora on the 26th. Machine fucking Head will be headlining at Peabody's on May 12th! That is a huge show and is guaranteed to sell out quick! Tickets are on sale now for dirt cheap! There are still no dates for the Sounds of the Underground tour yet, which features Lamb of God, Chimaira, Clutch, Opeth, and many, many more. Oh well.
WrestleMania 21 is tonight, live from Los Angeles! It's gonna be a huge show and you can check it all out for just $49.95, live on pay-per-view. I'm not into wrestling as much as I used to be, but WrestleMania still gets me excited everytime it comes around each year. WWE definitely does know how to put on one hell of a show.
That's it for today. I'm gonna be lazy for the rest of the day. I had to work six days again this week, including six hours yesterday. Working on Saturdays sucks ass! Today is my lazy day. More possibly later. Adios. -dT
